The Royal Challengers Bangalore is a cricket team based in Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team is owned by UB Group of Vijay Mallya. The team is runner-up of IPL 2009.

Their home ground is M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Rahul Dravid was captained the team in the first edition of IPL. Two captains lead the team in the second edition – Kevin Petersen and Anil Kumble.
