2010 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier

The International Cricket Council has announced the schedule for the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier. The tournament will be played from February 9 to 13, 2010 in the United Arab Emirates. Eight teams competing teams in the tournament. The teams are Afghanistan, Canada, Ireland, Kenya, the Netherlands, Scotland, United Arab Emirates and United States of America.

The 17 matches will be played in the tournament. Six matches played in Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Stadium and eleven matches including super four and final matches will be at the Dubai Sports City Cricket Stadium.

The top two teams from the tournament will progress to play in the 2010 ICC world Twenty20 held at West Indies. The tournament winner will join South Africa and India in Group C, while the losing finalist will join Group D which includes the West Indies and England.

The format of tournament is group stage, super four and final. The teams divided into two groups.

Group A: Ireland, Scotland, Afghanistan, United States of America

Group B: Netherlands, Kenya, Canada, United Arab Emirates
