ICC World Twenty20 2007 - Second semi final

Australia v India
At Durban, September 22, 2007. India won by 15 runs. Toss: India / chose bat.

India had really got it together in this innings after a slightly sluggish start. Yuvraj Singh played intelligently again. He scored 70 runs from 30 balls with five 4s and five 6s.

Australia bravely follows to the target. But, openers dismissed by Sreesanth. Irfan Pathan and Joginder Sharma crushed the middle order batsmen. "We had to bat well. India had to bowl well. It was that sort of total. Some of their bowlers did a really good job. A couple of shots didn't go for us and we lacked momentum," Adam Gilchrist said after the match.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni said, "We played without fear. If we play like this, with everyone supporting each other we're going to win more matches than we lose. We need to enjoy ourselves when we go out to the middle"

Yuvraj Singh said, "We needed runs on the board playing against a team like Australia. I just went out there and played as well as I could. I'm happy the way I'm hitting the ball and want to continue like this in the last game. India v Pakistan is always a big game and it's a dream to get a match-up like that."

Player of the match: Yuvraj Singh
