ICC World Twenty20 2007 - Twenty-forth match

South Africa v India
At Durban, September 20, 2007. India won by 37 runs. Toss: India / chose bat

This match was very crucial. India must win to stay alive in the tournament. South Africa didn’t want win but keep net run rate.

India had posted 153. It is able to chase. South Africa just need to score just 126 to qualify for the semi-finals.

But India played dramatically and South Africa restricted to 116 for 9 wickets.  Mahendra Singh Dhoni said, "We played professional cricket. This is the way we need to play. We needed to get a good start from the bowlers and had to back that up with solid fielding. The important thing is to be determined about winning and have the belief and then you'll come out on top."

Player of the match: Rohit Sharma
