Providence Stadium

The stadium is a sports stadium in Guyana. It was national stadium of Guyana. It is located on the east bank of the Demerara River a few kilometers south of Georgetown. Ten minutes drive from the town to the stadium and thirty minutes drive from Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

The stadium was built in 2006 specifically for the Super Eight matches in the 2007 World Cup.

The stadium was built by the Government of Guyana with financial assistance of the Government of the India. C R Narayana Rao of CRN Architects and Engineers was designer. Shapoorji Pallonji and Co Limited was constructed the stadium under the supervision of Walter Willis. The complex includes a shopping mall and luxury apartments.
